Medical

Union Health’s medical plan is a high deductible plan. Premiums are determined based on the enrolled co-worker’s hourly rates. Co-workers get the best use of r benefits by utilizing Union Health System services. By using the Union Health System, co-workers can take advantage of employee discounts towards services, lower calendar year deductibles, and higher coinsurance coverage. Routine, preventive care is covered fully, and pharmacy benefits and coverage are available. Dental Dental coverage is offered through Delta. Co-workers can access prevention services, major restorative services and orthodontia care.

Vision coverage is offered through VSP. Key benefits include annual exams, frames and lenses. Additional discounts are available for corrective eye surgery, lens enhancements, and addition glasses or sun glasses.

Pre-Tax Savings

There are three key resources for pre-tax savings. These include:
  • Health Savings Account: for enrolled participants, Union Health contributes $1,200 based on coverage and wellness incentives.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts: benefit eligible co-workers may be able to contribute up to $2,850 per year on a pre-tax basis to use towards IRS expenses and up to $5,000 for dependent care.

Retirement

The Union Health 403(B) Retirement Plan is a powerful and convenient way to save and invest money for your retirement! Co-workers, regardless of status, may begin participating in this plan on their first day of employment.

Co-workers with one (1) year of service and work 1,000 hours in the plan and attain the age of 21 qualify for the employer match. Employer match is 50% of the first 8% of employees’ deferral. Additionally, if you meet the above requirements and employed on the last day of the year, you will receive an Annual Employer Contribution percentage of 1% of your pay. Annual limits apply.

Employee contributions are always immediately 100% vested. Employer matching contributions and non-elective contributions are subject to a 3-year cliff vesting schedule.

Additional Benefits

  • Adoption Assistance: Designed to support our employees who are choosing to build their families through adoption, this program will provide up to $5,000 towards eligible expenses.
  • Wellness Opportunities: all Union Health employees, regardless of status or health plan enrollment, are eligible for some additional discounts to include gym memberships and local fitness classes.
  • Education Reimbursement: Union Health encourages our employees to take advantage of available opportunities for continuing their formal education. Total reimbursement per person per year is $ 5,250 for Full Time and Part Time (32 hours or more per week) and $2,625 for Part Time (less than 32 hours per week) and PRN.
  • Federal Loan Forgiveness: Union Health is a 501(c)(3) qualifying organization for federal loan forgiveness. This Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program allows eligible borrowers to cancel the remaining balance of their Direct Student or Parent Loan upon meeting eligibility requirements.
