From arthroscopy to open-heart surgery, Union Health offers a wide range of surgical options right here in the Wabash Valley. Our da Vinci S Surgical System integrates 3D HD laparoscopy and state-of-the-art robotic technology to enable minimally invasive options for complex surgical procedures. For the patient, this technology results in a quicker recovery and faster return to normal activities.

Wabash Valley Surgery Center

The Wabash Valley Surgery Center is a 28,000-square-foot facility located at the intersection of Seventh St. and Sixth Ave. on the Union Health campus. The state-of-the-art surgery facility is the premier outpatient surgery center in the Wabash Valley. The physicians who utilize the surgery center perform an estimated 11,000 surgical cases and procedures per year in eight operating rooms and four procedure rooms.

Union Hospital

With over 10,000 surgical procedures annually, the Union Hospital Center for Advanced Surgery is a leader in surgical care in the Wabash Valley. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the center serves patients of all ages from Vigo and surrounding counties in Indiana and Illinois, performing a wide variety of procedures within the various services available through Union Hospital:

The Center for Advanced Surgery has 12 operating rooms, with two dedicated to open heart surgery, one room dedicated to urologic cystoscopy procedures, and one room dedicated to the Da Vinci Robot. It is staffed with specially trained personnel to address scheduled and emergency cases.
