Careers in Action

West Central Indiana Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and Union Hospital are excited to have Careers in Action at Union Hospital.  The Careers in Action Program will provide both male and female high school students (14 and finished 8th grade) an opportunity to learn about health-related careers and provide hands-on health experiences.  This program has replaced individual high school shadowing experiences throughout Union Health.  This Program will allow the students to learn more about specific areas of the hospital as well as provide a better overall experience for each student.

There is a $20.00 per student charge which will include registration, T-shirt, and programming throughout the school year.  If a student would like to participate in Careers in Action and is not able to provide the registration fee, please feel free to contact us at 812.237.9688 for possible assistance.

Careers in Action can be a one-time experience for a student interested in a specific career or a student may attend all the sessions offered.  We encourage students to attend as many of the sessions as they can to get a rich experience that will help them make class and career choices in the years to come.

If you need further information, please call Volunteer Services at 812.238.7674.
