Orthotic splints are custom-fit support tools that reduce pain, enable proper joint placement, tendon and muscle function, and protect and hold an injured area in a healing position.

Custom versus over-the-counter splints
Over-the-counter splints are less costly, but the one-size-fits-all approach is often uncomfortable to wear and not adjustable. Our custom splints are formed to the contours of each individual, so there is less chance of rubbing and the best opportunity for a more comfortable fit. Patients are more likely to wear a custom splint that is comfortable, which will help maintain the proper treatment.
Dynamic Splints
We are often asked by physicians to build a splint so that a dislocated finger can be reset to its proper position, incrementally. For example, we might set a finger splint at a 30˚ angle initially and adjust the degree to 20˚ and then 10˚ as their treatment progresses.
Adjustable, reusable, and easy to clean
Custom splints are often recommended following a serious injury or surgical procedure that may involve swelling. Once the swelling has subsided, adjustments to the custom splint may be needed. Our splints are made of heat-formed composite thermoplastic that can be reshaped. The composite thermoplastic material is also reusable, should the injury reoccur, and they are easy to clean after use.
