Dermatology

The skin is the largest organ of the body. Its functions are incredible and extremely complex. It plays many crucial roles in protecting our bodies from the outside world, but its uniqueness also has the potential for thousands of disorders.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with skin. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. In fact, a dermatologist can identify and treat more than 3,000 conditions.

Board-certified dermatologist June Kunapareddy, DO, specializes in managing diseases related to skin, hair, nails, and other cosmetic problems.

Studies show the top 10 reasons people see a dermatologist are:

  • Acne
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Signs of Aging
  • Skin Cancer
  • Hair Loss
  • Rosacea
  • Varicose & Spider Veins
  • Infection
  • Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac
It’s important to note that your skin, hair, and nails change over the years and so will your screenings, treatments, and general dermatology concerns. If you aren’t feeling good about the skin you’re in or there is cause for concern, Dr. Kunapareddy sees patients of all ages. New patients are welcome. Referrals are only required for new medical or surgical patients. Cosmetic appointments are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Dermatology services are offered at Union Medical Group Eastside, located at 2133 S. State Road 46 in the Sycamore Terrace Plaza. To schedule an appointment, call 812.244.1800.
